Ryde's Junior Development program includes the Rhinos' learn to play water polo program. It's a great way to introduce kids to a new sport and have fun in a supportive environment. The program is led by our club stalwart Peter Gerrie, a retired Aussie Shark and life member of the Ryde Rhinos.
Ryde's Junior Development program is open to school aged children from 8 to 12 years of age.
Participants must be able to swim 50m confidently as the water polo pool is deep (2m) and swimming is a large component of water polo play. Freestyle, breaststroke and if possible backstroke. A swim check will be done on participants on their first session.
